Corey McGuire has always been a fighter. Now, he’s facing his toughest battle yet: melanoma. This aggressive form of skin cancer has challenged Corey’s strength and resilience. But with your support, we can help him win this fight.
Melanoma is not just a diagnosis; it’s a life-changing challenge. Corey’s treatment requires cutting-edge therapies, frequent hospital visits, and immense financial support. By contributing to our fundraiser, you’ll be directly helping Corey access the best possible care and easing the financial burden on his family.
The fight ahead for Corey and Alita will be tough, but we had many generous purchases of raffle tickets for a chance to win a vacation in paradise at Dreamy Contentment in Costa Rica.
All proceeds from raffle ticket purchases were given to Corey and Alita for his fight against melanoma.
Share Corey’s story on social media and with family and friends. The more people know, the more support we can rally.
Corey McGuire received a melanoma diagnosis in 2015. As the most aggressive form of skin cancer, the diagnosis was concerning given his age of 26. Following successful surgery for its removal, medical professionals advised that no further treatments were necessary as the melanoma was localized to his upper back and neck. Fast forward almost a decade to 2024, Corey, now married with two children and a pet beagle, experienced a prolonged period of unwellness. Subsequent medical examinations revealed a recurrence of the cancer in his neck, with metastasis to several other areas of his body.
After conducting extensive research and receiving support from family, they’ve learned that MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas is the best facility for treating Corey’s specific type of cancer. Corey and his family live in Maryland and will need to travel to Texas for his treatments. These trips will undoubtedly be challenging. To help navigate this difficult journey, cover the costs of his treatments, and retain some normalcy, please consider offering your assistance.
Even if you cannot donate, just sharing this with your friends and family would mean so much.
